Lagos State Govt Reacts To Viral Video Of Students Reciting National Anthem In Flooded School Assembly Ground [Video]

 

The Lagos State Government has weighed in on a viral video of young students reciting the national anthem in their flooded school assembly ground.

In the video sighted by Ghgossip, the pupils stood in the pool of water as they sang the national anthem. The video however generated several mixed reactions from Nigerians on social media.

The Lagos State Ministry of Education, reacting to the video on Sunday, October 31, said that the video was taken months ago and the building has been destroyed and rebuilt.

“The school assembly viral on social media is a low cost private school in Makoko, Lagos State,” the statement read.

“The video was taken some months ago by a church that wanted to use the video to raise funds for the school. The building has been demolished and is being built. Lagos State authorities are sending officials there on Monday to ascertain level of progress. Thanks for your concerns” – HC Education
