BREAKING! Gospel singer, Sammie Okposo, dies at 51

The 51-year-old musc producer, who had been n the hosptal for some days, where he was recevng treatment for an undsclosed alment, passed on Frday mornng, November 25.







He was sad to have been recuperatng, but unfortunately, hs health deterorated ths mornng, leadng to hs death.

Ths comes months after the gospel snger publcly apologzed to hs wfe, Ozoma, for cheatng on her.

In a statement shared on hs offcal Instagram page on Monday, January 24, the ‘Wellu Wellu’ crooner confessed to havng had an ntmate affar wth another woman when he travelled to the US n 2021.

He sad he s ashamed of hs acton and regrets t as t has caused a lot of pan to hs wfe and famly. Speakng further, he noted that he wll be suspendng all mnstry works for now untl he regans full restoraton.

“Dear Frends,
I need to brng a very unfortunate ncdent to your attenton as I am not proud of t but know that ths s the rght thng to do. On my recent trp to the USA (Late 2021), I got ntmately nvolved wth a lady, knowng that ths was not approprate as a marred man and a mnster of the gospel. I am ashamed and regret my actons as t has caused a lot of pan to my dear wfe, Ozoma, my famly and I.

As I work n makng peace wth God, repentng and askng for Hs forgveness, I am suspendng myself from all mnstry work untl full restoraton as ths s what s proper and what I know I owe God and Hs people.

To my wfe, Ozoma. I am sncerely sorry I put you through ths shameful and embarrassng stuaton. I broke your trust and dsapponted you. Your forgveness of my moral falure and poor judgement s mportant to me. I pray I wll eventually be able to buld back the trust and confdence every sngle day for the rest of my lfe.

I want to take ths moment and apologze to all Fathers and Mothers of the Fath and mnsters of the Gospel for my behavor and moral falure. I won’t be here f not for your nvestment and belef n what God has called me to do. I sncerely apologze for ths embarrassng stuaton.
