The autopsy conducted on the corpse of Ifeany Adeleke, son of Davdo and hs fancée, Choma Rowland, has now revealed that he ded as a result of drownng.
The Lagos state Polce Publc Relatons Offcer, Benjamn Hundeyn, confrmed the development n a chat wth PUNCH sayng “Autopsy has been concluded. It confrms the boy (Ifeany) drowned.”
Earler n the week, t was reported that the polce mght conduct an autopsy to determne whether truly Ifeany ded as a result of drownng n a swmmng pool at hs father’s resdence n the Banana Island area of Lagos State.
A source, who confrmed the development, sad t was standard practce for the polce to conduct an autopsy n such a case, addng, however, that the polce would desst from the move f the deceased famly members were aganst t.
“Though the famly members are not sayng anythng yet because they are stll n shock but untl anybody says stop, the standard procedure s to conduct an autopsy and we are gong to follow that procedure just lke n any case of death,” the source sad.
Explanng further, the source sad out of the eght domestc workers nterrogated by the polce n connecton wth Ifeany’s death, the cook and nanny, whose job was to cater to the wellbeng of the three-year-old boy, had been detaned for reasons ncludng the falure to uphold the duty of care of the mnor. As of the tme of flng ths report, the nanny and cook were sad to stll be n detenton.
