Kenyan snger Mercelne Ateno aka Mercy Ats who found fame on the nternet after her song ‘I Don’t Gve a Damn’ went vral on socal meda n 2020, strpped naked on Sunday, September 18, after the polce raded her brothel.
Local publcatons reported that the polce acted on a tp-off from members of the publc n conjuncton wth Kajado County Lquor Lcensng Board.
The securty offcers raded Motherland bar, a dngy faclty that was prevously an eatery jont but has turned nto a strppers’ club.
Durng the rad, some revelers were seen smokng whle others engaged n group orges.

Mercy Ats who was told she was operatng an llegal faclty, hauled unprntable names at the team.
She strpped naked and dared polce offcers to kll her, nsstng that the rad was ntated by a “jealous person”.
Securty operatves closed down the faclty as revelers scampered for safety. The snger was subsequently arrested and s beng held at Ktengela polce staton.
Charman of the Lquor Lcensng Board Jonah Marapash who ordered the closure of the bar sad;
“The orgy scenes we have wtnessed n ths club spell doom to our chldren.
“I thank members of the publc for gvng vtal nformaton about what has been gong on n ths club.
“We are on hgh alert to tame the operatons of nghtclubs and bars and there’s need not to allow open mmoralty n the name of busness.
“We are gong to close all strppers’ jonts, revoke ther lcenses, and blacklst ther owners.”
