A woman from Nigeria who is accused of stealing gold jewelry from a store and attempting to escape has been caught.

She is accused of stealing N1.5 million worth of jewelry, swallowing it, and making plans to leave the shop because she was unable to locate anything she liked.

She was caught on camera by the shop’s proprietors and staff, who then shamed her in front of the lens.

In a video that has gone viral on the internet, the suspect urged the shop owner to remove her face from the camera.

The shoplifter did not want her identify to be made public by them on social media because she was terrified of being embarrassed.
